Deanna Voisine, Ph.D.

Dr. Voisine is the Founder and Director of APS of RI.  She is a Licensed Psychologist who earned her doctoral degree from the University of Rhode Island.  She also attended Fairfield University in Connecticut, Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, and Elmira College in New York.

Dr. Voisine completed her internship in both a neuropsychological private practice and in the juvenile justice system.  She served for five years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Psychological Association, and she was the Chair of the Early Career Psychologists and Communications committees.

Dr. Voisine has several years of experience as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), and has worked with children from preschool to college age.  She was the Director of Social Work at a chronic and convalescent hospital, worked in federal prison settings providing psychoeducational groups and therapeutic services, taught at a program for children with autism, and she has worked in private practice settings for several years.  Dr. Voisine has served as an adjunct professor at the Community College of Rhode Island and at the University of Rhode Island.  Dr. Voisine specializes in animal-assisted therapy and consultative services, as well as in behavioral and educational assessments and interventions.  Dr. Voisine provides comprehensive clinical evaluations, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and consultation services for children and adults.  Her emphasis is always on having an empathetic and effective approach for all of her patients.

Dr. Voisine participated in extensive training with Dr. Brian Weiss and earned a certification in Past Life Regression therapy.  When not working, Dr Voisine may be at the dojo (she earned her black belt in Okinawan karate after her children earned theirs), watching her kids at one of their sporting events, surfing with them, or hiking with their dogs.  She is a devoted mom, and a lover of animals and the Earth.

Carrie Raimondo, M.S. LPCA, NCC

Carrie Raimondo is native to New England growing up in both Maine and Massachusetts who attended the University of Southern Maine before meeting her husband who was in the navy, completing her BS in Psychology at Capella University and continuing with her MS in Mental Health Counseling with Capella, completing both residencies in Dallas, TX. Carrie works from a Strengths Based Model of therapy which allows to work at the pace of the client and accentuate their strengths instead of placing the concentration on deficits; she also utilizes Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) techniques which are collaborative, and goal directed. SFT’s aim is to help people find within themselves and use tools to help alleviate symptoms and cope with challenges they may be facing; SFT plays on the strengths that sometimes people need a little help recognizing that they already possess and the counselor acts as a guide through the process. Carrie also has experience working with a non-profit providing transition services for adolescents in high school with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injuries, intellectual or emotional disabilities, mental illnesses, and other challenges which complicate traditional educational settings which has provided experience beneficial when working with adolescents.

Lisa Weyandt, Ph.D.

Dr. Lisa Weyandt is a licensed clinicial psychological and professor who has specialized in the assessment and treatment of ADHD for decades.  She has published numerous books and journal articles as well as a graduate textbook focusing on the physiological bases of cognitive and behavior disorders.  She is recognized as a leading expert in the field; her research interests include clinical neuroscience, the study of pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions for ADHD, and the study of executive functions.  She is on the nation’s leading researchers in this field.  At APS, Dr Weyandt provides virtual therapy to individuals and families.

Ashley Barker, LICSW

Ashley Barker is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) specializing in children and families. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Rhode Island College, and subsequently obtained her Master of Social Work degree under Rhode Island College’s accelerated placement program. She has extensive experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. She is a therapeutic foster care social worker and therapist at Waterford Country School, a private agency dedicated to special needs children and families at risk. She works extensively in the Westerly area community through the Westerly Elks, as both their Special Needs and Holiday Giving chairperson. At APS, Ashley provides cognitive behavioral therapy for children, adolescents and adults.

Lily Wilson, M.A.

Lily earned her Masters in Counseling with a CAGS in School Psychology and CGS in Child and Adolescent Trauma from Rhode Island College. She has previous experience working collaboratively with families and children through Early Intervention. Lily combines the approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and skills acquired as a Registered Yoga Teacher to encourage well being.

Amy Vazquez, M.S.

Amy is a bilingual School Psychologist who has extensive experience with the administration of cognitive, adaptive, and behavior measures.  She has worked as a Behavior Specialist, utilizing ABA techniques and executing treatment plans for children.  She works in the Providence Public School system, and does testing at APS.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College and a Masters of Science/CAS in Counseling in School Psychology from SUNY Oswego.

Siny Dustin, M.D.

Dr. Dustin is a transplant from the midwest where she graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. She attended medical school at the American University of Antigua. To broaden her counseling spectrum, she attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Roxbury, MA to attain a Masters Certification in Counseling. Siny’s primary mode of counseling is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. By helping people reduce stress, cope with complicated relationships, process grief, along with common life challenges, she believes that people can live fuller lives with peace and joy. Her heart is to come alongside those that are looking to achieve mental well-being though counseling. Siny is compassionate and cares deeply about those that she serves. Siny is happily married and a devoted mother to four children.

Nick Trebisacci

Nick Trebisacci is a Rhode Island native who graduated from Rhode Island College with a BA in Psychology, a BS in Chemical Dependency and Addiction Studies, and a minor in Gerontology. He is now in the final year of his Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at Rhode Island College where he has gained the necessary skills to provide a warm, empathetic and safe space for clients to delve deep and grow. Nick has experience providing individual and group counseling with a vast range of people. In the past Nick has worked as a Substance Use Counselor, working with those struggling with substance use disorder, and he has had the opportunity to implement therapeutic interventions with young adults, people with disabilities, and the elderly. Nick fuses principles of Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to empower clients to reach their full potential, and to have the proper tools to do so.
